Salary: £30,000 – £32,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

We are recruiting on behalf of an award-winning artisan butcher with a strong reputation for quality and tradition. This well-established business prides itself on craftsmanship, customer trust, and maintaining the highest standards across its products and service.


An opportunity has arisen for a Skilled Butcher to join their experienced team. This role would suit a passionate and knowledgeable individual who takes pride in their craft, can work on their own initiative, and thrives as part of a close-knit team.

 
Working Hours

• Approximately 40 hours per week
  
  
• Working 6 days per week on a rota basis (including Saturdays)
  
  
• Shifts: 7:00am – 5:30pm
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and present meat products to high-quality artisan standards.
  
  
• Demonstrate strong knife skills and knowledge of a wide range of meat cuts.
  
  
• Ensure all products are prepared in line with company recipes and merchandising standards.
  
  
• Maintain full compliance with food safety, HACCP, and health & safety regulations.
  
  
• Promote a positive team culture built on trust and commitment.
  
  
• Deliver excellent customer service, keeping the customer at the heart of the business.
  
  
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
   

Essential Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a butchery role (artisan, supermarket, or fresh meat environment).
  
  
• Recognised qualification in butchery or equivalent hands-on
  
  
• Experience. Strong knife skills and product knowledge.
  
  
• Basic food hygiene qualification and understanding of food safety standards.
  
  
• Ability to manage workload and work efficiently to deadlines.
  
  
• Positive, reliable, and flexible approach to work.
  
  
• Professional presentation and pride in workmanship
