JOB TITLE: Private Client Solicitor
PQE REQUIRED: 4-8
LOCATION: Hampshire
SALARY: £60,000 - £80,000 (DOE)
THE ROLE:
An established and highly regarded private wealth team is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join its Hampshire office. The team provides long-term strategic advice to individuals and families across a broad range of succession and estate planning matters. You will manage a varied caseload including wills, trusts, probate, estate administration and inheritance tax planning, advising on both straightforward and complex wealth protection structures.
The firm is able to offer flexibility within the role and welcomes candidates who may wish to develop a particular specialism within private client work, whether that be complex estate administration, tax planning, trust structuring or high-net-worth advisory matters. The team structure allows for lawyers to build a focused practice area while still benefiting from collaboration across the wider department. You will also work closely with colleagues across other practice areas to deliver a seamless service to clients. As a senior member of the team, you will provide supervision and support to junior lawyers, contribute to maintaining high professional standards and play an active role in business development initiatives.
THE CANDIDATE:
The successful candidate will have between four and eight years’ post-qualification experience in private client work, with strong technical expertise in wills, trusts, probate and tax planning. You will demonstrate excellent client care skills and the ability to manage sensitive matters with discretion and empathy. A proven ability to manage a busy caseload and meet deadlines is essential. STEP qualification would be advantageous, or a willingness to work towards it. You will be commercially aware, proactive and confident in developing long-term client relationships.
THE FIRM:
This is an award-winning and Legal 500 recognised firm with a strong reputation for private wealth advice. The culture is collaborative and forward-thinking, with a clear commitment to professional development and long-term career progression. The firm values ambition, teamwork and strong client relationships, offering a supportive environment in which lawyers can shape and develop their own practice.
PACKAGE:
The firm offers a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 (DOE), a generous fee earner bonus scheme, pension, enhanced family leave policies, 25 days’ annual leave plus additional holiday at Christmas, free parking and a comprehensive benefits package.
