Freedom of Information Officer

Duration: Temporary for 3 months (with potential for extension or temp-to-perm)

This role has arisen to provide dedicated support to the Data Protection team, ensuring FOI requests are handled efficiently, accurately, and in line with statutory requirements.

- Providing guidance to colleagues on FOI processes and legislation
- Communicating effectively with stakeholders via email and phone
- Supporting reporting and monitoring of FOI performance metrics
About You
We are looking for an experienced Freedom of Information Officer who can deliver excellent service and ensure statutory compliance. You will have:
- Proven experience managing Freedom of Information requests within a local authority or similar environment
- Strong knowledge of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and related legislation
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills
- Confidence handling sensitive and confidential information
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience using case management or records management systems
