Job Description

We are seeking a talented FF&E Designer to join our client, a London based design studio with a creative and dynamic team of talented architects and interior designers. Their passion lies in truly understanding both the needs and opportunities that each project presents and they strive to make the environments they design user friendly, inclusive, accessible and to have a positive impact on people’s well being.

We are looking for a creative and proactive individual who will contribute to the development of our clients projects from concept through to installation. You will be involved in design research during the concept development phase, which includes tasks such as sourcing mood imagery and gathering site-specific information. You will also assist in developing the materiality of projects by researching materials, ordering samples, meeting with suppliers, and visiting showrooms.

As part of the team, you will help produce concept materials, including presentation documents and material boards. You will also support the production of CGIs by coordinating and supplying design information to external consultants. Furniture and fabric research and selection will be part of your responsibilities, along with drawing up FF&E specifications, producing drawings, and preparing detailed production documentation. This includes creating plans that are fully coordinated with input from other consultants. You will review samples, strike-offs, and shop drawings to ensure they meet design intent and project specifications.

We are looking for someone with a good working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Microsoft Office. Familiarity with Vectorworks is advantageous. Applicants must have previous experience in designing hospitality, residential and/or senior living environments.

If you are a creative problem-solver with a strong eye for colour and materials, then we would love to hear from you.

This position offers a hybrid working arrangement with two to three days working from home each week. They also offer flexible start and finish times.

Please get in touch with your CV and portfolio if this sounds suitable for you.
