Job Description

SEND Key Worker - Staffordshire 

Pertemps are recruiting experienced SEND Key Workers to support a Local Authority in Staffordshire.

This role is ideal for experienced SEND professionals who are confident managing complex EHCP processes, working to statutory timescales, and liaising with multiple stakeholders to secure appropriate placements.

As a SEND Case Officer, you will benefit from:
  • £140–£160 per day
  • Full time and Remote Working(37 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and process a high-volume caseload of Annual Reviews and Phase Transfers.
  • Ensure Statutory Deadlines for Phased Transfers are met in line with the SEND Code of Practice.
  • Amend and update EHCPs following Annual Reviews.
  • Liaise with schools, settings and external professionals to secure placements for children and young people.
  • Support complex casework, including time-sensitive and Judicial Review cases where required.
  • Accurately record and maintain case information on Hub, Capita and Trim systems.
  • Respond professionally to enquiries and complaints from schools and parents.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Previous experience working as a SEND Key Worker, SEND Case Officer or within a Local Authority SEND team
  • Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice (2015) and statutory processes.
  • Experience managing complex and high-volume caseloads
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Confident using case management systems such as Hub, Capita and Trim.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote setting.
