Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced SEND Team Manager to join Lancashire County Council’s Inclusion Service on a full-time basis.
The Role The SEND Team Manager is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing a team of officers supporting children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
You will ensure that SEND processes and practices are child-centred, inclusive and fully compliant with statutory frameworks, particularly the Children and Families Act 2014.
Working collaboratively with families, schools, education providers and multi-agency partners, you will drive service improvements, promote inclusive education and ensure positive outcomes for children and young people across the local area.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of SEND officers
- Oversee statutory SEND processes, ensuring compliance and quality assurance
- Monitor performance, manage resources and support service development initiatives
- Contribute to strategic planning aligned with local authority priorities
- Work closely with families, schools and partner agencies to promote inclusive practice
- Support workforce development and foster a culture of continuous improvement
- Extensive SEND management experience
- Strong working knowledge of statutory frameworks, particularly the Children and Families Act 2014
- Proven leadership and team management experience within a Local Authority SEND service
- Experience in quality assurance, performance management and service improvement
- Ability to work collaboratively across multi-agency partnerships
