The Role
A secondary school in Birmingham is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Business Studies Teacher to join its department from September 2026 on a long-term supply basis.
The successful candidate will teach Edexcel Business across KS4 and KS5, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that develop students' understanding of key business concepts, enterprise, finance, marketing, operations, and strategic decision-making. You will prepare students for success in their GCSE and A Level Business Studies qualifications while encouraging them to develop analytical thinking and commercial awareness.
Working within a supportive department, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons, assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. You will maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement while inspiring students to apply business theory to real-world contexts.
 
The Candidate
The successful candidate will:
  • Hold QTS or be an ECT
    • Have experience teaching Business Studies across KS4 and KS5
    • Be confident delivering the Edexcel Business curriculum
    • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
    • Be committed to supporting student progress and raising attainment
    • Have a passion for Business Studies and preparing students for further education and future careers
