There are no formal academic entry requirements. A variety of vocational qualifications in Forklift Truck Operations are available at Level 2.

TASKS

  • Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols for forklift operations..
  • Assist in counting, sorting, and organizing inventory as needed..
  • Communicate with warehouse or site personnel to coordinate material movements..
  • Conduct pre-use inspections and report any mechanical issues promptly..
  • Follow stacking guidelines to prevent damage to goods..
  • Fulfil orders by picking and preparing the required materials for shipment..
  • Inspect materials for damage or irregularities during loading, unloading, or movement..
  • Keep accurate records of inventory movements and transactions..
  • Load and unload trucks, containers, or storage areas with accuracy and efficiency..
  • Load goods onto trucks for transportation, ensuring proper distribution and securing of loads..
  • Maintain forklift operator certification as required..
  • Operate forklifts to move materials, products, or equipment to designated locations..
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and stay updated on safety practices..
  • Perform basic maintenance checks on forklifts, including refuelling and lubrication..
  • Report any mechanical issues for timely repairs..
  • Report any quality issues to supervisors..
  • Stack and store materials in an organized manner to optimize space and facilitate easy retrieval..
  • Unload incoming shipments and verify contents against delivery documents..
  • Use communication devices or systems as required..
  • Verify order accuracy and completeness before dispatch..
